Aspect 2010 annual conference
Optimising opportunities for children and young people in the 21st Century
The integration of education and children's services has reached a critical stage where the hopes and expectations that surrounded the beginning of the process are measured against the reality.
Asserting the primacy of professionalism and specialist skills in serving the interests of our children is the default position of Aspect. Doing so in the context, possibly, of a new government and, certainly, in the tightening financial climate will present new challenges for our union.
Aspect's annual conference is now established as a key date in the professional calendar. It is the place where policy and practice are analysed, where ministers test their ideas before an expert audience and where the ever-widening pool of Aspect members meet and discuss.
Key speakers include:
- Dr Maggie Atkinson Children's Commissioner for England
- Sir Paul Ennals Chief Executive, National Childrenšs Bureau
