BTEC Qualification in Education and Children's Service Development

Aspect's BTEC qualification in Education and Children's Service Development is based on Aspect's updated National Standards and is approved by Edexcel.

It is the first professional qualification to address the needs of educational improvement professionals working in the new and emerging area of children's services.

This qualification can be undertaken by individuals, or teams working together in local authorities or other organisations. A number of local authority teams have already undertaken the qualification and other local authorities are promoting it for their education improvement staff.

It is a work based portfolio, so you gather evidence from the work you are doing already, and then pull it together with some analysis to demonstrate how you have met the agreed standards/criteria. It has been found really valuable and a good experience.

Undertaking the qualification provides candidates with a real opportunity to reflect on their work and provide evidence of impact. Those who have successfully completed the qualification have found it to be a very affirming and positive experience.

If you, as an individual are interested in undertaking this qualification please contact Cheryl@aspect.org.uk.

If your Local Authority is interested in a number of people undertaking the BTEC as a team please contact Cheryl@aspect.org.uk for further information and to discuss your requirements.
