This is the area of Aspect’s autonomous social care section of the union. It is dedicated to our work with social workers, other social care staff, social care managers and social work students all of whom are eligible to join.

What social care professionals do is no less important to them than what they get paid and their conditions of work.

Social care professionals are – in their sphere of work – the guardians of the essential values of public service and high standards. Aspect believes that the interests of service users and clients are not in contradiction with the interests of social care professionals or of wider society and that winning higher professional standards – supported by professional levels of pay and conditions – is in the interests of all.

Social care professionals make up a fast-growing group of Aspect members with their own autonomous section.
