Hi Kay - Sorry I didn't spot this comment before, technical hitch there!

Which copy of Improvement have you got? Most of them recently have had quite a bit on EYPs in them! I promise we are very aware of the need to make sure EYPs have a high profile and a high priority. There will be a blog very shortly on a speech Aspect made at the Daycare Trust this week and that should be covered in the next Improvement too.

Have you got your membership number yet? And have you signed the petition and got everyone you know to sign it?

Thanks for commenting too, it would be really good if we get some good debate going on here.

Thanks, Helen

I have recently joined ASPECT as I am nearly an EYP.I am particularly interested in promoting the status of early years professionals, which is why I joined, however, the publication 'Improvement' lacked any articles that mentioned EYP's! I want to raise the status of the profession and allow other people to see that we are not all teachers! Just a chip on my shoulder, but it is really important to meet the govenrments agenda of graduates, to let everyone know that early years professionals DO NOT have to be teachers! Please let me know of recent articles/research on EYPS.
Thanks Kay (I haven't got my membership number yet)
